Khidr Consultants is a small, family-run structural engineering consultancy built on the belief that professional support should adapt to real people — not the other way around.
The practice operates fully remotely, allowing us to work efficiently and sustainably while remaining present and responsive when it matters. Site visits can always be arranged, and we are happy to come to you when required. This flexible approach helps minimise waste, streamline delivery, and maintain a genuinely hands-on service.
We work in a way that fits around our clients, not rigid office hours. Many people find it difficult to speak during the working day, so evening (within reason) and weekend availability is offered as standard. This ensures advice and guidance are accessible around work, family, and everyday commitments.
At the core of the practice is a commitment to service: providing clear, practical advice; maintaining open communication; and creating an environment where clients feel supported and understood. Our aim is to deliver a consultancy experience that is professional, accommodating, and centred on real needs.
Inspirations
Our design philosophy is shaped by influences that reflect both our cultural background and our approach to engineering.
The circle in our logo represents the Chinese moon gate — a symbol of welcome, transition, and harmony. This reflects our aim to create a clear and considered passage from concept to construction. We are also inspired by the precision, balance, and geometric elegance found in Islamic and Chinese architecture, both of which embody a timeless respect for proportion and craftsmanship.
Sustainability plays an equally important role in our thinking. Wherever possible, we integrate sustainable materials and efficient design strategies to deliver long-lasting solutions without unnecessary complexity or cost. All work is grounded in first-principles thinking — breaking problems down to their fundamentals and rebuilding them with clarity and purpose.
Together, these influences guide us in delivering structural and drainage designs that are thoughtful, efficient, and tailored to each client.
